YALL. It finally happened, after a few years of trying, I finally got to see one of my favorite artists, Bishop Briggs.

From the first time I heard Wild Horses, I knew Bishop Briggs was special. I have been such a big fan for a while, so to get the opportunity to photograph her show and see this new set, I was ecstatic.

One thing that excited me about this show in particular was that all three artists performing were women. In an industry so dominated by men, it’s awesome to see a bill of all amazing female performers. It wasn’t my first time seeing either Jax Andersen or Miya Folick, but their sets still blew me away and had me smiling ear to ear all night.

When Bishop Briggs came onto the stage, she immediately dominated the stage with so much confidence that I had to take a second to just admire her. She commands the audience in a way that is still very vulnerable and approachable, a delicate balance to find.

I had seen her perform live once before at ACL Fest last year, an amazing show but nothing compared to this set. My favorite thing about Bishop Briggs is how absolutely humble and grateful she is in all situations. Both times that I have seen her before, she’s gotten overwhelmed with having anyone show up to see her, despite all of her achievements and her confidence on stage. To see an artist get so emotional like that over people just simply taking the time to attend her show is something so pure and unlike anyone I've ever seen.

Overall, I was so beyond grateful for the opportunity to witness this show and will without a doubt see her again.
